I need to address the whole 'high school quarterback' thing in a minute. But first, I think it's odd there's yet another parallel between Alex and Riley, my character from "The Howling Heart". In my novel, Riley's father is the town sheriff and he almost gets Paige killed. His life is turned upside down when she recuperates in his home and they grow closer. For a while, he covers up the fact he was responsible for Paige's accident and he and his family cover up the fact they're werewolves. I wish God would let me know why he's showing me all these signs or coincidences---whatever they are. I don't like hints.

Now on to Alex playing yet another teen role. Cassandra Clare, the author of the YA book series "The Mortal Instruments", had told everyone the reason Alex turned down playing her character Jace and was not interested in playing Peeta in "The Hunger Games" was because he didn't want to play anymore teen characters. And what has he just done? I don't care what type of movie "Diamond Dogs" is, I'm pointing out the role he chose. When the Alex/Jace backlash started, I defended Alex on message boards for his choice to move on to adult roles, and now I feel stupid and doubt his integrity. I wonder what his REAL reason was for rejecting Jace? It can't be because Jace is a teenager, because look at the role he just signed on for.
